What is a Spiral IQF System?
A Spiral IQF system is a high-capacity industrial freezing system where the conveyor belt is arranged in a spiral (helical) configuration. It gets its name from the spiral structure of the conveyor belt on which products travel.
Its biggest advantage over standard (straight-belt) IQF systems is offering high freezing capacity in a much more compact facility space.
How Does Spiral IQF Work?
Products travel on a spiral-wound conveyor belt from bottom to top or top to bottom. High-velocity cold air circulates around the products, providing rapid and homogeneous freezing. The spiral structure maximizes product dwell time while minimizing facility space requirements.
